By accessing and using StickyEvent ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at stickyevent.com and our mobile application (together or individually "Service") operated by StickyEvent Limited ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

StickyEvent is a comprehensive event management platform that enables users to create, manage, promote, and monetize events. Our services include event ticketing, voting contests, payment processing, analytics, and marketing tools. We provide both free and paid features to help event organizers reach their goals. The platform supports various event types including conferences, concerts, workshops, competitions, and social gatherings.

To access certain features of our Service, you must register for an account. When you create an account, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. You are responsible for safeguarding the password and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and to take sole responsibility for activities that occur under your account.

You may not use our Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction including but not limited to copyright laws. Prohibited activities include: creating fake events, manipulating voting systems, engaging in fraudulent payment activities, harassing other users, uploading inappropriate content, or attempting to hack or disrupt our services.

StickyEvent charges service fees for processing ticket sales and voting transactions. Our standard fee structure is 3.5% + ₦50 per ticket transaction and 2.5% per vote. These fees are clearly displayed before you complete any transaction. Volume discounts may apply for large events. Payment processing fees charged by banks and payment gateways are additional and separate from our service fees. All fees are subject to change with 30 days notice.

Event proceeds are typically released within 24 hours after your event concludes. For security purposes, payouts may be delayed for up to 7 days for new accounts or events with unusual activity patterns. You must provide valid banking information and complete account verification to receive payouts. We reserve the right to hold funds if there are disputes, chargebacks, or suspected fraudulent activity.

Refund policies are set by individual event organizers. StickyEvent facilitates refund processing but does not guarantee refunds. Organizers can choose to offer full refunds, partial refunds, or no refunds. Service fees are generally non-refundable except in cases of platform error. For cancelled events, organizers are encouraged to provide full refunds to maintain good standing on the platform.

You are responsible for determining and fulfilling your tax obligations for income earned through StickyEvent. We provide detailed transaction reports to assist with tax preparation, but we do not provide tax advice. For significant earnings, you may need to register for tax purposes with relevant authorities. International users should consult local tax professionals regarding their obligations.

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, create an event, purchase tickets, or contact us. This includes personal information like names, email addresses, phone numbers, and payment information. We also collect information automatically when you use our Service, including device information, usage patterns, and location data. We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and analyze platform usage.

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our Service, process transactions, send you technical notices and support messages, communicate with you about events and features, and personalize your experience. We may also use your information for analytics, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your information in certain circumstances: with event organizers when you purchase tickets or participate in events, with service providers who assist our operations, with law enforcement when required by law, in business transfers or mergers, and with your consent for specific purposes. We implement appropriate safeguards for all data sharing activities.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of sensitive data, regular security audits, access controls, and staff training. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for all content you upload to StickyEvent, including event descriptions, images, and promotional materials. Content must be accurate, lawful, and not infringe on third-party rights. You must not upload offensive, discriminatory, or harmful content. You grant StickyEvent a license to use your content for platform operations and promotion. You warrant that you have the right to grant this license.

As an event organizer, you are responsible for delivering events as advertised, managing attendee communications, ensuring event safety and compliance with local laws, handling customer service issues, and maintaining accurate event information. You must honor ticket sales and voting contest rules as published. Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may result in account suspension or termination.

You must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations when using our Service. This includes but is not limited to laws regarding data protection, consumer rights, tax obligations, and event licensing. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or licenses for your events. International users must comply with both their local laws and Nigerian regulations.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information and to update your information as necessary. You must not share your account credentials or allow others to use your account.

StickyEvent may only be used for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service to transmit, distribute, or store material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any other systems connected to the Service. Commercial use of user data without consent is prohibited.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by StickyEvent and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information obtained from the Service.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your account, you may contact our support team. All provisions of the Terms shall survive termination.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service without notice or liability. We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.

The information on this Service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StickyEvent excludes all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to our Service. StickyEvent makes no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of the Service content and assumes no liability for any errors or omissions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

In no event shall StickyEvent, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to StickyEvent in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StickyEvent and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney fees) resulting from or arising out of your use and access of the Service or a breach of these Terms.

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
